Another College Reunion Done.

While it's always a tight fit when trying to house visitors in the Wookie & Co. Loft, thankfully these 2 guys were completely content on sleeping on the couch and floor.

But let's get down to business.  How'd we spend the rest of Saturday and Sunday, you ask...

Remember the need for Best Buy?  Well, here we are...  Mr. Wookie "needed" hard-drive and RAM.

Now Collin (our Resident Tech Head) compares the Best Buy prices to online prices...

As Mr. Wookie scowls at the paparazzi's documentation needs for her blog...

Shameless unpaid promotion...

 Check-out time...

The rest of our day was spent touring an old historical home in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area that was in Crowe's family between 1920-something and the 1950's (Tangent: Crowe is his last name, because his first name is Ryan...and so is Mr. Wookie's, and that's just too much for us to deal with).  In fact, his mom was born in the area back in the day.  Local celebrity, eh?  (Get it?  Remember,  he's Canadian...)

So we found it alright.  But the boys apparently can't read.  Boys...

I decided we need more pictures of me on the blog.  Here's my 'excited' face.  TWSS.

This trip, Mr. Wookie had a habit of hiding in my pictures...

Ummm....

Please excuse the straggly hair...I'm in the process of growing it out.  That and it needs a trim and shaping.  Next week, people.

Crowe's calling his mother about where the family bricks are located.  Apparently the family names are etched into bricks on the property.  Where's Sherlock when you need him?

The most fascinating part was how they "raised" the roof sometime in the 1800's.  How in the world do you do that without the use of modern engineering and cranes?  Beyond me.  But you can see the original founding (the first foot), and the "new" bricks that were assembled post-raise (the upper 8 feet).  Insane.

And we search for bricks...

Well, I model...

So does Collin!

And we found them!

Taking a picture of him taking picture...

"Someone take a picture of the pile of trash on the historical site." - Collin

And when Mr. Wookie steals my camera...

Thanks Wook...

I was able to convince the boys to go historical site lawn yoga.  Collin = great form.  Mr. Wookie...not so much.

He didn't like the comment, so he kicked Collin over.  Bully...

But before we headed home, we had one very important pit stop to make.

Eureka!

This one's for you, Sheriff!

"OMG, it's a Lamborghini!" - Boys

Eh, unless it does my laundry for that price tag...I don't think so.

And so we make it to the evening, which is nothing less than suits and high-class dinners.

This is our poor attempt at an emo group shot.  While Mr. Wookie channels Wilson from Home Improvement.  And of course, debauchery ensues.  So here are the highlights.

Drunk yoga.

 Drunk singing.

 Drunk male nudity.

Payment for my Betty Draper skills of ironing his shirt.

And the breaking out of the Original Nintendo.  Because we're 80's babies.

And stay tuned until I can cut the video together that I took from the night.  It'll be legen...dary.

Saturday, April 3

We should really start charging people who sleep over...

Remember 4th of July and the Oregonians we met up with in the District?

Well those hooligans are back.  Minus Katie.  Because she had responsibility on the Best Coast and couldn't join us.  But don't worry, Katie, you're missed.  By me, at least.  And that's all that counts.

So here was our Thursday, after the boys made it into town...

Obligatory walking picture...

Know where we're going yet?

Please tell me you guessed it...

 Bad picture, I know!

 Our Robin Scherbasky...(yes, he's Canadian)

 Answer: Snappers...Duh.

Friday was spent with Mr. Wookie and myself having to work.  But Mr. Wookie did only have a half-day, so at least the boys could hit the Links.  Too bad it takes almost 7 months to chance into these college reunions like this.  Boo, adulthood.  You're spoiling our fun.

But Saturday was a great day.  It started with waking up the boys to the smell of coffee.  And yoga mats.

Sleeping Visitor #1

 Sleeping Visitor #2

But what I was MOST excited about was having a buddy join for me for Sunrise Yoga.  Yay.

Collin, ready to take on Warrior III...

We were there early...because nobody puts Gingy in the corner...

Mat comparison. Mine is 74". And eco-friendly.  TWSS.

 Post hour session of yoga...

While it wasn't the hardest or easiest class ever, it was a great workout.  Collin was sweating profusely.  And my legs were wavering at the end of a severe Crescent Lung cycle.  I loved it.  I've only been back on the mat for 2 weeks now (I stayed off the mat during Half training), but I'm getting back my strength/flexibility/chi.  And it shows how much I missed it.  I'll try something different during the 8K training by sticking to the twice/week yoga schedule, as well as logging the baby miles needed to train for an 8K.

The boys reliving the dorm experience...

 Yes, hard-core gamers...

Who don't live in their parents' basement...

Who both have steady girlfriends...

So happy weekend from Mr. Friendly!  May you, too, bask in the sunlight.  Or heat lamp.  Either way.  This yellow-bellied slider doesn't judge.  As long as you don't forget to feed him.

We're off to Best Buy.  The boys need more testosterone.  Because they don't have enough between 3 males in a 700sqft apartment. Go figure...
